Ex-Girlfriend Blackens Every Day: Chapter 8
ARC 1: WHITE LOTUS EX-GIRLFRIEND (8)
Linlang was reading a book as she leaned against the window. Raindrops struck against the glass surface with a dull thud. It was raining heavily outside, and the dark clouds hung low in the sky. Meanwhile, the flower-loving butler worried over the cluster of flower shrubs he recently transplanted.
All of a sudden, his eyes narrowed. Please read this at onemachineshow.blogspot.com
"Young—Young Master?"
Standing outside the door was a soaked youth with messy hair that covered up his pale face. He looked like a homeless wanderer, appearing gloomy and desperate.
The butler's heart ached at the sight and quickly asked how he turned out this way, but the youth pressed his lips and said nothing. His eyes remained fixed on the ground.
His vision was blurry, but it wasn't clear whether his face was wet from the rain or tears.
It wasn't until a pair of white legs walked over with a light sigh that the soaked youth began to feel the warmth.
A large and soft towel covered his head, and the faint scent of roses floating in the air was just like the tenderness in the woman's eyes.
What followed was her severe reprimand.
"Jiang Qiyun, don't you have a brain? It's raining so heavily. There's even lightning, but you won't find a place to avoid it?" The girl poked his head with a finger.
She might not know how bright and moving her angry appearance was.
He carefully dried his hands with a towel before slowly moving them to her body. The other person was still caught up in a rage and hadn't noticed his small movements.
He grew bolder and took advantage of his height to pull the petite woman into his arms.
He held her tight, until there was no gap between them.
He has always wanted to do this.
Her limbs were soft like cotton, a sun-soaked warm ball of cotton filled with a fragrance that lifted his worries and consoled his heart.
"You..."
She blushed and was going to push the shameless young man away, but he buried his face in her shoulder and cried in a low voice.
Her raised hand hesitated in the air. Finally, she couldn't bear it and longer and patted his back in a soothing gesture, as if consoling an injured child.
"There, there..."Please read this at onemachineshow.blogspot.com

In the bedroom, the youth fell asleep quietly. He had a sweet smile on his white face, as if enjoying a pleasant dream. A bright red knotted string was tied around his slender wrist. Linlang had gotten it for him from a previous temple visit.
He never took it off, not even when he was together with the female lead.
Linlang sat on the edge of the bed, gently running her fingers through his hair. This little demon was more than willing to remove his own menacing claws just to stay beside her. He was now more docile and lovable than a newborn cub.
But what can you do without sharp weapons to protect yourself?
"Good night, Yunyun." She leaned over and placed a light kiss on his forehead.
It was the mark of her prey.
Unable to escape.
The fine eyelashes of the teenager trembled in alarm, but he continued to feign sleep.
Linlang's mouth hooked up slightly.

Jiang Qiyun returned to the Jiang family, and the happiest person was the old butler. The rebellious child in his eyes seemed to have grown up overnight. He was now mature and sensible.
In the second half of the school year, Jiang Qiyun earned the highest entrance exams score in the province and attended the same university as Linlang. His handsome exterior as well as dazzling achievements made him a highly sought-after individual. He was frequently mentioned in the media.
Father Jiang's face was bright, and he no longer looked into the previous matters.
In a flash, Jiang Qiyun's 19th birthday arrived.
Father Jiang said he would prepare something grand for him, but he refused.
He already chose the person to celebrate his birthday with.
Under the dim street lamp, the teenager leaned his back on the electric pole. A grey woolen scarf was wrapped around his delicate face. His eyelashes were fluttering slightly like the inky black wings of a butterfly, and puffs of white mist formed in the cold air after every exhale.
Slender fingers were full of anxiety as they dialed a string of numbers.
The waiting time felt like a century.
"Sister, it's me."
Before he could rejoice, he heard her apologetic voice.
"En, it's fine. It's really fine. If you're busy, I can celebrate with my classmates."
"Okay, that's all. Bye-bye."
Jiang Qiyun couldn't hide his disappointment. She was missing his birthday for the second time.
Maybe she really is too busy?
He desperately tried to find reasons for Linlang, but sometimes reality didn't allow him to deceive himself.
The wounds from peeling back the lies were yet to scab when he froze in his steps.
A pair of lovers were standing by the sparkling riverside.
The woman's eyes were closed as she was hugged by the taller man bending down to deliver a kiss. Her waist was so slender, it seemed it could break like crystal, and the long crow-black hair was fluttering gently in the wind.
Everything looked so inconceivably beautiful.
Fine snow was falling from the sky, and its cold particles dissolved between his eyebrows.
The youth turned away without expression, but the snow on the ground was stained with a faint scarlet.
It's nothing.
It really was nothing.
He's only being lied to once more.
A car drove into the Jiang family late at night.
"Then, good night."
Linlang bid the man goodbye as she tucked the loose hairs behind her ear. Her eyes were amorous, her red lips bewitching, she looked extremely seductive under the lighting.
This angelic beauty was a demon that could lead all beings astray.
She had just turned around when the man strode forward and pulled her into a kiss.
"Mph—"
Linlang's low exclaim was swallowed up. Unable to resist, she clung to the other's chest softly and permitted her lover's gentle request.
The man's mind was like a cantankerous horse and so he didn't realize that the person had slowly opened her eyes.
Her expression was calm with no trace of exhilaration.
Her glassy eyes had a touch of faint blue, like a phosphorous fire floating in the night. It was surreal, but lethal. Please read this at onemachineshow.blogspot.com
From this pose, she easily caught sight of the figure by the full-length window on the third floor.
He seemed to be stunned in place. One hand was still holding the curtain.
Unexpectedly, he saw this affectionate scene— his beloved in the arms of another.
The opportunity arrived just in time.
A light flashed in Linlang's eyes.
"Linlang, I love you." Her lover's fingers caressed her cheeks. He was full of deep devotion when he said, "Will you marry me? I'll spend the rest of my life loving, protecting, and cherishing you!"
Linlang simply smiled.
Although the distance was somewhat far, a determined person could still distinguish their voices.
Don't.
Don't marry him.
Please, don't leave me behind.
I'll be good and listen to you. It doesn't matter if it's a lie, I'll pretend not to know. So please, don't promise him.
I'll go crazy. I really will.
The youth stared at the delicate woman as his nails dug into his palms. She first tilted her head and looked at the man seriously, waiting for him to grow nervous. Then, she burst out laughing and pointed a finger at his face. "No flowers, no ring, and you still want to abduct people? Dream on!"
The man was stunned for a while before an ecstatic expression bloomed on his face. He was so amazed that he asked her several times: "So, you've promised to marry me? God, am I—am I dreaming? Linlang, quick, quick pinch me! Tell me this isn't a dream! "
He spun in place from the remarkable surprise. His smile couldn't conceal the happiness.
Chen Qingli has always been rational and level-headed in front of people. The only time he lost control was when he was affectionate, much less right now; he was utterly incapable of calming himself down.
Amused by his reaction, Linlang's expression curved into a smile as she intimately touched his nose.
"Fool."
The man was obviously beside himself from joy. He rushed up and twirled her round and around, not revealing a hint of fatigue as he did so.
Her skirt flew over the delicate snow.
In that cold winter night, the sounds of laughter spread far and wide.
The palms pierced by fingernails had bloody traces, and the faint scent was carried away in the evening breeze.
