ARC 1: FIRST BATTLEFIELD (5)

By the time Shang Junzhuo returned home from shopping, Bai Xiyue was already fast asleep in bed.

Her complexion was ruddy and her breathing steady. That tender and supple appearance made people like it.

Shang Junzhuo let out a sigh and touched her face.

This is the woman he loves. She was lively, cute, and sweet. Although she was finicky at times, she was his princess.

He tapped her lips lightly. There was something precious about her.

He wanted her to belong to him in every way so badly, but he was scared of exposing his true nature and terrifying her. So, he could only hold back and occasionally brand himself on her body to swear sovereignty.

He really wanted to have all of her soon.

It's just that every time he brought up marriage, she would always say it was too early or that she didn't want to get married yet.

But he always felt deeply anxious. He didn't know why.

Shang Junzhuo watched Bai Xiyue sleep soundly and couldn't help but feel a little sleepy as well.

He simply lay on the bed and slept with her.

Bai Xiyue woke up in a warm embrace. She opened her eyes to see a man's chest and was confused for a few seconds.

Although she had accepted the memories, to Bai Xiyue, he was still a stranger.

Shang Junzhuo's voice sounded sleepy. Those beautiful pair of peach blossom eyes still looked drowsy as he rubbed her.

Bai Xiyue nodded and felt around for her fully charged cellphone on the bedside.

She remembered that she seemed to have an appointment with Yan Yushan?

"Is there any discomfort?"

"No, I'm okay now."

Bai Xiyue didn't say that she wasn't going for the physical checkup. At this moment, she honestly hoped the original owner had some incurable disease or something, that way she could use it to force a breakup. She felt elated thinking about it.

She stepped into her slippers and carried her cellphone to the bathroom. Shang Junzhuo was still here, so it was hard to check her messages in front of him.

On Mr. Crossdresser’s side, umm...there was a lot of sweet talk. Bai Xiyue responded with a few emoticons to show her dedication.

[Pretty Jane]: You finally replied.

The next moment, she received a video call request.

Bai Xiyue was startled. Although Jian Ning hadn't seen what her bathroom looked like, it would be bad if something happened, so she hung up without hesitation.

Why is he calling? Can't they text? What does he mean by video calling?!

This was probably the reason why the original owner liked to stay with Jian Ning. She could liberate herself.

When she was with Shang Junzhuo, she was his obedient little sweetheart. When she was with Yan Yushan, she was his wise and congenial lady. When she was with Chen Qinzhu, she was his glamorous and alluring big sister. She couldn't be vulgar in any of those three situations.

But it was different with Jian Ning. She was unscrupulous and could let go of anything. She could talk however she wanted, vent whenever she wanted, and Jian Ning didn't care.

Jian Ning was also crazy in his own right. Compared to the other three people, he was much more casual and tolerated the original owner's bad side.

For example, if the original owner wanted to eat ice when she was on her period, Shang Junzhuo will definitely coax her and give her hot water, then satisfy any other wish she had. Yan Yushan on the other hand, will thoroughly kiss her, then ask if her mouth tingles and keep kissing until it stops.

As for Chen Qingzhu, he will refuse with a staunch face then go prepare some brown sugar water on his own. If she keeps insisting, he'll buy some ice and let her have one bite before packing the rest.

Jian Ning won't raise any objections. He'll accompany her to eat the ice. When the pain worsens, he will tell her this was the price to pay, then silently cover her belly for the night.

Jian Ning seemed to be the most irresponsible and should be the least of them all, but that was just his attitude; doing crazy things with others without any qualms.

Because he was too casual, Bai Xiyue listed him as the No. 1 time bomb.

He didn't play by the cards or follow common sense. It made her feel somewhat panicky.

The phone was vibrating. More messages had come through.

[Pretty Jane]: Even if you're taking a dump, you're still the most beautiful fairy! So there's no problem if I see!

In response to Jian Ning's crazy rainbow fart,¹ Bai Xiyue sent an emoticon of a middle finger then told him she was going to be busy.

The original owner told Jian Ning she was a freelance writer, but the longest thing she had ever written was a comment.

After fooling Jian Ning, Bai Xiyue logged out and went to check on Chen Qingzhu.

Chen Qingzhu's remarks were like a little milk dog. Sure enough, he was milky and sweet.

He also texted Bai Xiyue, but there were gaps in between. It was as if he was embarrassed about bothering her, but couldn't stop himself from missing her, so he only sent a line every so often.

Bai Xiyue's finger hovered over the button, but after thinking about it, she still didn't reply.

She was here to break up, not fall in love. Unless it was strictly necessary not to, she will give the cold shoulder.

However, this way of leaving people dry must be measured. If she gets a series of phone calls, she won't ignore them.

Bai Xiyue cut to Yan Yushan and found that he had sent her a message ten minutes ago to say that he was about to get off work and would pick her up from the store.

Bai Xiyue immediately replied to say she wasn't at the store and that she was actually on her way home to change clothes. She suggested they meet at their dinner place.

She received a call right away. Bai Xiyue could feel a headache coming on when answered it.

"What kind of food do you want to eat tonight?"

"Anything works. You can decide."

"There's a new French restaurant that seems good. It's by De'an Road. Are you sure you don't need me to pick you up?"

"No, I can go there myself. See you then."

As she said her goodbyes, Bai Xiyue suddenly heard a knock on the bathroom door.

Shang Junzhuo saw that Bai Xiyue had been in there for a while but still wasn't coming out. He was a bit concerned and was about to check in on her when heard her voice.

"Yueyue, are you talking to someone?" Shang Junzhuo's voice carried over from the other side. It went straight to Bai Xiyue's ears and straight to the call she had not yet disconnected.

Yan Yushan was also confused.

"Yueyue, aren't you at home? Why is there someone knocking and talking through the door? Isn't that a man?"

Ahhhhhhhhh!!!

Damn it, damn it, damn it!!!

Bai Xiyue silently choked as she squeezed the cell phone.
