After My Death, The Villain Blackened Again: Chapter 95

AMDTVBA Chapter 95 After My Death, The Villain Blackened Again: Chapter 95

ARC 2: THE FILM EMPEROR FROM HUMBLE ORIGINS (50)

Qi Yuan was still smiling even when he arrived at the private hospital.

It was as if it had been drawn in with a pen. No amount of water could wash it off.

He maintained it the entire way there and couldn't get himself to stop.

He first went to the private hospital to personally hear it from the doctor's mouth.

Then, he left to find the hospital she was transferred to after her surgery.

It was there that he found her hospitalization record. The cause of illness was written as postpartum hemorrhage and the documentation ended with the line, 'The patient died'.

The patient died.

Those three words finally wiped the smile off his face.

His fingers touched the surface of those words. He felt dizzy, but his stiff body kept him from moving.

It all came to him in hindsight.

He finally understood the details that were overlooked.

She closed the studio.

All the money in her cards were transferred to their parents.

The ownership for her properties was transferred to Mother Xu and Father Xu.

Her, her cards had not been used since last year.

She didn't contact anyone.

She...

She died?

She died!

That's not possible.

How was that possible?

He tracked down the doctor in charge of her at the time.

To his surprise, he turned out to be a cardiologist.

The doctor probably didn't expect anyone to check Yan Ge's medical records and question their validity.

He took out the real medical records from the locked safe and explained: "At the time, the patient insisted on signing a confidentiality agreement to conceal her illness from her parents and relatives. The copy in the reference room was left there for family. This is the record I kept about her.

"After the operation, her body rejected the artificial heart transplant. Her bodily functions couldn't be stabilized, and her organs began to fail until she ultimately died. I tried my best. She was the most tenacious patient I had ever seen and the most memorable one.

"In there is a letter she wrote. She said I should deliver these items if a Mr. Qi ever looked for me."

Qi Yuan didn't know how he got to the apartment they used to live in.

He was in a trance the entire way as he kept recalling all those past events.

He remembered the first time he saw her. She was so beautiful. He thought she was someone the night club brought over and even believed she must have slept her way up the ladder.

He still remembers that night. She forgot to add seasoning to the instant noodles, but she ate it with relish, and he could only eat alongside her.

She secretly bought a lot of psychology books about teenagers to study and would sometimes use the methods she learned to have heart-to-heart talks with him.

The him back then thought she was such a ridiculous woman.

She actually treated him as a child. He even went so far as to believe she was a pervert.

He remembered that she was never sloppy with her work and was a woman who could never accept a loss.

He also remembered that day.

That day, she wanted to report him for rape. He didn't take care of her at all. He just left and walked down the street feeling wronged and resentful.

How could she be so ruthless?

The further along he walked, the more miserable and aggrieved he felt. After that, he came up with excuses and pushed all the blame on her, saying that she was a heartless woman.

He told himself to hold back from seeing her. After giving her the cold shoulder for a while, he would then slowly reel her in.

He held himself back from seeing her, and in the end, that night's parting turned out to be their final farewell.

He never...he never saw her again.

If, if he could have just gone to the police station, if he had just gone to prison, there wouldn't have been a car accident, and she wouldn't have had to...

He wished he could achieve all those 'ifs'.

He wished he could go back and in time and die in her stead.

But there was no such thing in reality.

She was dead and will never wait for him to acknowledge his mistakes.

He could never bring her back home.

As he stood by the door, staring into the empty room, the face that had remained numb was suddenly stained with tears.

This time, he was thoroughly repentant.

He regretted it so much that his intestines felt shattered.

If he knew things would turn out this way, he would have chosen to be 'devoted siblings' with her for the rest of their lives. As long as she could appear safe and sound before him, as long as she was here, he was willing to be her little brother for eternity.

He walked into her bedroom and sat where he once watched her profile smoking a cigarette.

He stayed there motionless, just like she was back then.

Outside the window, colorful neon lights and the vague sounds of chatter and laughter from countless people were mixed in with the nighttime sky.

So many of them were smiling, but only he was crying. He wept the entire time, howling and wailing like a child.

Gradually, the sky brightened.

His phone was ringing, and bit by bit, his numbed body came to recover in full.

He answered the call and heard Xiao Ge's childish voice through the phone: "Uncle, when are you coming back from the business trip? Xiao Ge misses you ah. Don't forget Xiao Ge's present and Grandpa's and Grandma's."

The little girl's voice was so angelic and cheerful.

All of a sudden, his dried-up tears surged up again.

He wiped his tears away then stared at the letter she left behind for a long time before carefully opening it.

Inside were a few lines.

Little brother:

I'm sorry, I have always regarded you as a brother. It was my incompetence that led you to make such a mistake.

I shouldn’t have blamed you because I was the one who didn't do well as an older sister.

Little brother, please take good care of Mom and Dad.

Be sure to take care of yourself and Xiao Ge. I didn't teach you properly, but I hope you may do so with her.

Your sister, Xu Yan.

His tears fell again and obscured her handwriting.

He opened his mouth and silently answered: "Okay!"

As long as you say it, I am willing to do it.

I can do anything as long as you like it. As long as you're here, I will do it all.

But sister, where are you?

  1. Ah, yes. This is the type of quick transmigration endings that I'm looking for. I want them tragic but with a lesson. I want to cry while reading as I put myself in the characters' place and absorb their emotions thoroughly :))

So far, from Arc 1-2, I'm satisfied with the ending. Yan Ge's deaths weren't abrupt and each of her death actually had a purpose.

Reading this novel makes me so happy and the translations are top-notch it makes me want to cry because it heals my mushy brain from reading MTL'ed ones haha

  2. So close, but still so far. He still doesn’t regret the act itself — he only regrets the consequences. Instead of regretting he forced himself on her, he only regrets it lead to her death. I really wish he weren’t the de facto Endgame ML of this series.

    1. OMG yes. The ML doesn't regret anything. He's such a piece of sh*t. I can't believe he's the ML. The MC ends up with a r*pist. Really? The author couldn't think of a better option?

    2. Right!! Out of all of the options the author chose the worst of them all.

    3. The MC didn’t end up with a r0pist, the MC ended up with no one at all.
And.. honestly I’m wondering if you guys have even read other CNs because usually the way they treat r0pe, is that the FL falls in love with their r0pist and the r0pe continues to happen, because they always seem unwilling in bed.

    4. In my opinion, they are both lost causes that didn’t understand anything.

The stupid fl refused to learn that maybe her methods were defective. Instead, she incessantly blames herself for not teaching well and blames him for not seeing her as a sister.

The ml is an equal idiot that only sees his r*** only as a small huddle the fl can’t get over.

In fact, the fl isn’t complaining about being r***d ya! She’s only stupidly complaining about not being seen as a sister.

These two crackheads are really deserving of each other ya!! Very good siblings always dodge the main problem and continue to stir angst blood drama. Truly deserving of each other.

They should just ascend together ya! As siblings.

  3. hahah, not pitying this piece of shit at all.

  4. Why. And what the hell was that letter?? What do you mean 'incompetence of yourself as an older sister'?? Why?? Tell him all the wrong and disgusting things about him, and don't leave your child with him, a rpist, and don't keep your parents in the dark, living and loving the bastard you ruined their daughter's life! He shoulda went to jail!! It's all because of that stupid 'mIgHtY OnE'.
