AMDTVBA Chapter 15 After My Death, The Villain Blackened Again: Chapter 15

ARC 1: THE EMPEROR SCHEMES TO GRAB A MAN’S WIFE (12)

Yan Ge’s dark hair appeared in Emperor Yuan’s mind. He heard his unclear voice say: "Go to Zongzheng Hall."

Zongzheng Hall was the place he conducted state affairs. It was also the hall Yan Ge resided in.

At first, she was in a coma. Emperor Yuan thought she should stay there so he could conveniently take care of her once he finished handling his work.

Later on, she regained consciousness, but he had no plans to relocate her to another palace hall.

After all, government affairs were cumbersome. He would talk to her when he was vexed. He felt that even a glance her way could dissipate his moodiness.

He wanted to wait until she volunteered herself in the future, but as he sat on the main hall watching the maidens in gorgeous purples and brilliant reds as well as the apparent delight in everyone’s face, his interest suddenly waned.

He did not want to wait. Tonight, he wished to hug her to sleep.

It was midnight when he arrived half-drunk and half-sober at the Zongzheng Hall. He thought she would be asleep, and so did not expect to see her wearing smoky green menswear. Her hair was tied up with a golden crown as she sat on the chaise playing chess against herself. It was obvious she was waiting for his arrival.

He ordered the servants to withdraw and reached out to lift the curtain.

The colliding sounds of the beaded curtain startled Yan Ge. Turning her head, she looked at him with a smile: "I knew Your Majesty would be drunk tonight and had the servants prepare a sobering soup. Would Your Grace care to drink some?"

Emperor Yuan did not speak. His eyes were fixed on the woman in front of him.

When she wore men's clothing, her appearance seemed to be beautifully heroic. The candlelight at the table flickered, and the warm yellow light softened her eyebrows. Unexpectedly, it caused him to see a bit of loveliness on her face.

"Your Majesty?"

When Yan Ge saw that he remained motionless, she lifted the hangover soup to hand it to him: "Your Majesty, drunkenness feels unpleasant. Have some sobering soup.”

Her mellow voice was clear, and the words lingered in his ears, reminding him of the wine he drunk today.

Is he drunk?

He walked a few steps towards her.

He did not take the soup from her hands. Instead, he stooped slightly and pulled her into his arms.

The hangover soup fell to the ground with a faint thud.

"Your Majesty?" She looked up in surprise. Her eyes were panicked and helpless.

Ignoring her struggles and hugged her tighter and lowering his head, he bent down and kissed her lips.

He thought he must be truly drunk.

The smell of wine lingered on the tip of his tongue as he reached into her sweet and soft mouth. He wrapped himself in her relishing flavor and slowly drew it back into himself, causing him to feel intoxicated and fascinated. The blood in his body was clamoring, as if wishing to incorporate her into his flesh that instant.

He carried her in his arms, and after walking a few steps, they fell on the bed together.

"Hurts." She suddenly covered her chest, her expression crumpling pain.

Red blood was already seeping out of her chest, and the sight of it sobered Emperor Yuan out of his mood.

The female physician was called over in a hurry.

When the tossing ended, the two looked at each other and both were helplessly embarrassed.

Emperor Yuan spoke first: "Zhen was reckless just now."

Yan Ge did not respond to his words. She got up after putting on her clothes and instructed the palace servant to dress her shoes. At the same time, she asked him: "Is it all right to leave the palace now?”

Emperor Yuan's heart trembled. He thought she was leaving out of anger.

Yan Ge supplemented: "Yesterday, I lost to Your Majesty. Naturally, I must keep my promise and give Your Majesty a birthday gift. If it’s possible to leave tonight, how about I take Your Grace to a good place?”

Emperor Yuan's heart rose and fell in an instant, and in the end, it brimmed with joy. He answered: “We can leave the palace.”

I'm never sure when 'tossing' is a euphimism in these stories.
